Another piece of the local rock scene bites the dust this week: Phoenix Best Music Poll winners and long-time reader favorites Cassavettes are amicably hanging it up after five years. The Americana band with Texas roots achieved a lot, even opening for Kings of Leon, so they’re asking that their final show be “more party than funeral.” We’re happy to oblige. We love a party — especially one with an extra long set of fan-picked tunes.
